Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who passed away in 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Her 12 WTA singles victories include a Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles specialist, she also has won at the US Open of 2019 as in addition to the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. Together with her fellow Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian also took home her the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019 thus making her the Sunshine Double. Four couples only managed to accomplish this feat on women's doubles. It was only four couples who achieved this feat when playing women's doubles. But in doubles, she rose to the number one spot following her win in Melbourne that following year. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach from 2018, until the end of her season in the year 2019. He also coached her for a short time at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach for a short time between August 2020 and September. She is being trained by her fellow nationman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
